Wow! It has been three years since we’ve been able to host a Summer Education Camp in the village of Šangaj. But last week….the kids were back…we were back…and the local community center was more than happy to have us use their facility. Over the course of four days the kids had a blast as they learned some valuable life lessons disguised as characters from… “The Worst Children in the World”. Believe it or not you can teach lessons using examples like Windy Mindy.
We were blessed to have a great all-Serbian team of volunteers working with us. Maja, Danilo, Jovana, Marijana, Alexandar….Thank you!!!!

More great camp news!!! We get to do it again in a few weeks!!!! We have gotten permission to use the community center in Mali Beograd and our Super Team is ready and willing to do it again!! Stay tuned for more smiles.
In other news….
- Another integral part of a Propel summer is ordering textbooks, getting vouchers for school supplies and sneakers, sorting out bus passes, and all the fun stuff needed to be done before school begins. With about 128 students to help…it is a lot of work, but Mary has it down to a science. A huge Thank You to all our student sponsors who make this possible.
- We have about 40 new students in need of a sponsor. Sponsor requirements: A loving, giving heart. If this sounds like you, you can learn more here.
- Mary needed something to do in between the Education Camps, so why not put together a VBS for Nexus Church? From 8-12 August the main room at Nexus will be converted into Mission Control. The kids will be taken on an intergalatic journey through the beauty and majesty of God’s infinite creation. Of course there will be puppets, and crafts, and games, and noise. Once again, we are blessed with a great team to make it happen.
- On a personal note regarding Paul’s health. It has been 5 months since the surgery to remove the tumors. His most recent check-up was all good and he is now on a schedule of check-ups, ultrasounds, and CT scans to keep on eye on things. Prayers appreciated.
- It is time for our every-other-year Magical Mystery Tour. We head to Florida in late September and head home on 23 December. The planned route has us in FL, GA, TN, SC, NC, VA, DC, MD, DE, PA, NJ, NY, VT, MA, ME, and then a secret getaway with our tribe. Looking forward to seeing y’all!!!
