In September we learned that a number of people had the wrong idea about who we were and what we did. They were under the impression they could request all kinds of hand-outs…and get these requests filled immediately. Something had to be done to set things straight. So….
We had a Propel Open House. Word was put out across the village and we had a great turnout. A really great turnout. An overwhelming turnout. A scary good turnout.
You see, when we compiled all the applications and did a count of how many new potential students needed sponsorship…it was over sixty!!!!
What’s that mean?
- It means we need to find sixty-plus people like us who understand how fragile a child’s future can be without an education.
- It means some love and sacrifice is needed to invest into the lives of these kids.
- It means the process needs to start NOW. If you (and 60-plus) other great people start donating in January, we will have enough funds to cover the purchase of school books for the 2019-2020 school year.
