Wow! Looking back at June, July, and August all we see are happy faces of kids. Kids playing games, kids making crafts, kids learning new stuff….kids being loved on.
With the help of teams from Fort Myers, FL, Saratoga, NY, and Edmonton, Alberta, two of the Roma villages where we work are still resonating from all the energy and fun.
Next Level Church Fort Myers blessed us for the fourth year in a row! The team came ready, willing and able to deliver an Education Camp disguised as fun stuff…loud stuff….and some messy stuff. All the same, the kids had a blast and went home smiling and a bit smarter.
It looked like this….
Saratoga Abundant Life Church visited for the second time, bringing the great talents and experience of their Adventure Camp Team. Joining forces with Propel and Nexus Church we were able to deliver something unique to our church’s neighbourhood…a Vacation Bible School. In the midst of songs, games, crafts, and puppets, the kids heard the Good News of the Love of Jesus….many for the first time.
The laughter is still echoing around the building.

The team from New Hope Christian Assembly, (Edmonton Alberta Canada) was visiting for the first time. Out of the team of 11, only 3 had ever been on a missions trip before! Trust me, you’d never have known it. They came to love on people, and did so with passion.
This team’s objectives were a bit of a mix…sharing at church services, visiting folks to pray and encourage, delivering food parcels to the needy, and loving on kids. During their stay they shared love, compassion prayer, smiles, and their hearts at Nexus Church and the Nexus Roma Fellowship. They found out about The Sausage House. They spent 3 hours in the tunnels below the Petrovaradin Fortress. Oh, and they walked a lot.

With the teams all back home (and planning for next year’s return) we turn our attention to getting school books and supplies ready to be delivered in time for the start of the next school year. Through the love and sacrifice of student sponsors we are able to bless 30+ kids this year!! We will have pix in our next update.
