Wow! Here it is …2020!!!

It would be easy to brag about all of 2019’s accomplishments

  • over 100 kids kitted out for school
  • 4 great Education Camps enjoyed by tons of kids
  • Dozens of kids (and their moms) now better prepared for primary school; after graduating from Launchpad
  • Over $12,000 raised through The H.I.K.E. (The H.I.K.E. 2020 is scheduled for April. Stay tuned)
  • Partnership with Paguilla (UK) providing life-skill training to older kids
  • Celebrating 10 years working in the mission field
  • Celebrating four years of living in Serbia

But, there’s something much cooler, much more exciting than numbers…  

When Propel started, it was one big beta test. Would anything work? Would any of it make a difference? Most days we felt like crash-test dummies, on others we could only hold our breath and take the next leap of faith.

Has it worked?
Has it been worth it?

Well, since you asked so nicely. Please allow us to answer, not in our words, but with words from the kids we serve….

Ana 2nd grade: “I love to draw and I love PE. Thank you for books, all the fun, and for helping us learn things. Thank you for thinking of us and for keeping us in friendship.”

Jasmina 3rd grade: “Thank you for helping us. I am doing my homework much better on my desk. I am so glad you bring us school supplies. I love you, because of you I have everything in school.”

Denis 3rd grade: “Thank you so much for the gifts of school books, supplies, and my desk. I am so happy!”

Elena 2nd grade: “Thank you for crayons, erasers, notebooks, books, pens, and everything else. I would love to become a scientist. I love to investigate…and I love nature.”

Or…one of our favourites…. Aleksandar 7th grade: “You make my life magic. You bring life to my dreams.”

And one more, from a mom who is struggling to raise two kids on here own…

“Dear donors, Thank you for all we have received from you. Thank you for the school supplies and books. Thank you for the desk and chair we needed. Thank you Mary (and Paul) for making it all possible. My children were overjoyed. Thank you for every smile, may you find unmeasured happiness.”

Everyone who has been involved with us over the years is worthy of the thanks shared above. Prayer partners, personal supporters, student sponsors, cheerleaders….you are all part of these stories and these growing dreams.

Has it been worth it? Yes!

Is there more to do? Yes!

How can others be part of these stories?

There are 70+ kids in need of sponsors for the 2020 school year. If new sponsors can start supporting a student by mid-February, enough money would be available to cover the cost of their books.
We will do our best to raise funds to cover the difference.

A full-sponsorship is $40/month. Co-sponsorships are also available for $20/month
