Greetings from somewhat chilly Novi Sad Serbia. With the Holidays and our recent Magical Mystery Tour all behind us, life here is back to “normal”.
Excuse me? How does normal look, you ask? It looks like this>>
On the ministry side of life:
– Thirteen kids are now part of our education sponsorship program. This means they get to attend school, and greatly increase the odds of being a new generation of over-comers, not victims. The goal is for twenty students for the 2017-2018 school year. Check out some of the candidates.
– Thirty+ families are enjoying the warmth provided by a winter’s worth of firewood. Funds for this project we’re a blessing from some great churches in Canada.
– Oh, we threw a party for an entire village! Over 200 people came out for some fun, games, and shoe boxes filled with goodies. Not only were over 130 kids blessed with some gift-wrapped love, we met 18 moms who are interested in learning more about Launchpad! What’s Launchpad? Look here.
– Rumours are circulating about the possibility of hosting another Roma Kids’ Camp this summer. Stay tuned.
– Of course we are also planning the logistics and activities for teams coming this summer. If you’re looking for an adventure, but with meaning, as well as some thrills and fun…Look here for how you can be part of the action. Space is limited, so don’t delay!
On the personal side of things:
– We are still feeling the love from our recent trip to the US and Canada. Quite frankly it is humbling to be so blessed. The invitation to visit us here is always open.
– It was fun to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary in Serbia.
– Our visa paperwork is somewhere in Belgrade being processed. It should only take a few weeks to get a decision. Prayers appreciated.
– For the past month we’ve been immersed in a Serbian Language Class. Učim srpski jezik! Our teacher has the patience of a saint, and a great sense of humour.
– We are low on Peanut Butter.
There’s more… but enough about us. We wanted to once again say thank you to everyone who makes this all possible. Your prayers, support, friendship, and Peanut Butter, I mean love, are the fuel upon which we run. You make the How a reality. Jesus makes the Why worth pursuing. Together, that is a powerful combination.
Volim te.
Paul and Mary.
We are running on faith, but we are not running alone.
