First and most important, we must once again say “Thank you” a million times over for all your prayers and the encouragement. You are all part of an on-going miracle.
Mary had two appointments last week. During the first one, her doctor said Mary had responded so well to the chemo, there was no need for a 4th round. Yipppeeee!!!!!!
The second appointment was to discuss the next steps, which all along had been pointing towards Mary needing 4-5 weeks (5 days a week) of radiation therapy. Well…her doctor said, if one more scan (in this case a PET-CT scan) was a clean as her last CT scan, the radiation would not be needed!!! Another Yipppeeee!!!!!
The PET-CT scan is scheduled for 7 April. Please keep the prayers coming!!!!! Thank you!!!
The work of Propel has been progressing as best we can through the current teacher and student strikes. Whether or not the high school class of 2025 will graduate in June is anyone’s guess right now. We are heart-broken over this situation, as it impacts one of our first “Propel kids”, and one of the most studious, hard-working young men you’d ever have the pleasure of meeting. Would you please add Aleksander C. to your prayers?
The elementary school kids are also affected. Their class time has been cut to only 30 minutes, so their normal school day is cut to almost half. We are getting all the information together so we can disburse textbooks, school supplies, sneakers, and more to almost 200 kids. We also have two teams coming to love on the kids and keep their little gray cells active during the summer break.
The H.I.K.E. 2025 is scheduled for 19-23 May. The world-famous CA Foehser will once again be accompanying me as we hit the trail and raise funds to help more kids. I am still trying to figure out why I started attempting these long-distance hikes at this latter stage of my life. More on The H.I.K.E. coming soon. Stay tuned.
We cannot say Thank You enough.
We are running on faith, but we are not running alone.
Paul and Mary
